I just happened to notice an "A" laser engraved on the inside of the top strap on a 686 I have. Looked at some other guns and one of the 629's and 627's has the same marking. 617's other 686, 629, and others do not have the mark. I did some looking on google and search in the forum and...
Thanks for all the info guys. I stopped by the shop today and put some money down for them to hold it. Ill post some pics as soon as I get it picked up.
I came across a 6" 19-5 nickel today at a local shop. They was asking $800 but dropped to 650 pretty quick. The gun looks new. I would say at least 90% or better.. I just don't know what a good price is for it. They don't pop up much around here.
Thanks
Got the grips changed but need the screw to hold em on. Still dirty haven't had time to clean it. You can see the old oil and gunk that was under the Hogue grips. Im off work tomorrow so I should have plenty of time to get her all clean and pretty.
The gun is dirty. I just wanted to see if I could get pics up and see if I got a good deal.. I just recently got bit by the s&w revolver bug, not that any of you guys would know how that is....
Picked this up today from a coworkers father. First time Ive tried to post pics on here so if it doesn't work Ill try again.
Has original grips box and I think all the papers. Serial starts with N161XXX I think that means its around a 1974?? Action is like butter!
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and have a couple questions. I picked up a 442 then needed a 686.... then couldn't resist picking up this 629-2.... the 629 is missing the rear sight assembly (was scoped) I'm not having any luck finding one online. S&w says they don't sell it anymore...
