    Is there any secret formula for preserving your firearms?

    You can still purchase cosmoline. I bought a yugo SKS non issued and packed in cosmoline it was in perfect condition. Built in the 50's. you can get it here: http://www.mil-specproducts.com/cosmo_l.aspx
