    Identifying a Model 66

    I have 2 Model 66's. They are both Model 66's with a 4" barrel. One is identified as a 66-1. The other I know was purchased in 1975 by paperwork and is only stamped as a 66. The latter has been modified with a wide knurled hammer spur and a wide trigger shoe. This is the "66." I believe...

    Are all carry handles created equal?

    I saw some "Colt" stuff too. They were around $45.00. I really want a carry handle, because I am used to A2 sights from the Army. Some stuff was marked USGI, but they were $85. Perhaps I will go somewhere in the middle. Really appreciate the responses, keep 'em coming!

    Are all carry handles created equal?

    I am currently shopping around for a detachable A2 style carry handle. Looking on eBay, I have seen anywhere from an Armalite brand for $100.00 down to some no name brand for $15.95. They all look the same to me. Is there really a difference? Its going on a M&P 15 sport.

    A1 triangle handguards on M&P 15 Sport

    I appreciate all of the advice. Doesn't seem too far out of reach, with the right tools. The dissipator option is not one I even thought of, but quite a cool option. I am glad I now have the right tools to make my decision. Thanks again!

    Hi all, just bought an M&P 15 Sport, and would like to swap out handguards for the A1 style triangular type. PK firearms makes a carbine length set, but states that round handguard cap must be replaced with triangle model (set comes with this piece.) I was wondering if anyone has done this...

    Air Weight Finish

    I have a 642 with some wear on it. Carried it in a blackhawk for about a year. What about Norrell's moly coat? They say it works well on aluminum frames. I haven't seen a 642 with Norrell's yet. I have been kicking the idea around, but not sure if I could do this myself...
