    Almost 22years ago I began my LEO career with my S&W 27-2 4". Sometime this month I'll go from full time to reserve status and begin an overseas assignment. I'll still be carrying that 27 in its break front holster when I come home on rotation and work a shift at the SO.

    I was able to blow the pics up and it clearly says " 357 Mag Ctg Highway Patrolman" on the barrel. However, I have no idea what it's worth.

    27-2 w/4" Barrel - Uncommon?

    So what ya'll are are saying is that the 27-2 4" that I picked up in 1993, for $350, was my first duty gun, shot the heck out of it and carried almost every day for 10 years, has extensive holster wear, may be kinda rare? Well hell! Wish I had known then what I know now!! Best money I ever spent!!

    I like my big guns and dress around them. 95% of the time its my Rem R1 Enhanced .45acp. When I feel like a wheelgun its my S&W 27-2 4" in a high ride pancake.
