    Correct 586 box

Hello all, Can someone show a photo of what the correct box for a 586 no dash looks like? I’m wanting to get one but want to make sure it’s a period correct box Thanks Vic

    952 front sight options

I have a 952-2. I'd like to try out a Fiber Optic front sight. I send a question to Dawson Precision about a sight, and they replied that they didn't have this gun in their database. Does anyone know what S&W semi shares the sight dimensions as the 952? Thanks Vic

If I ever move and have to clear out of my shop I’m gonna be able to build a complete gun from all the parts I’ve lost!

    Missing rear sight plunger

I was attempting to install a white outline rear sight blade on my 14-3. When I removed the old screw I noticed that the spring was there but the plunger was missing. I checked Midwayusa, Brownells, and Numrich. No luck at any of these places. Anyone have any idea where else to check...

When would the gold medallion grip have been used? What the best way to clean these up without destroying the history?

Would a letter be that specific about the grips? I’ll look again under a strong light and magnifier but I didn’t see any pencil marks on the inside of the grips he first time I looked.

The back of the trigger and hammer do have patent info. I have found matching serial numbers on the bottom of the grip frame, the bottom of the barrel, and on the cylinder face.

Just a plain “Made in USA” on the side. All I’ve done so far is wipe it down with an oily rag. I plan to dissemble it and give it some time in the sonic cleaner. I’ll check for serial numbers and any other marks then. Hopefully the numbers will match. Where are the five numbers located? It...

It does have the S&W emblem on the side. I’ll double check for the eagle on the yoke but I didn’t t see it when I looked earlier. The grips are not numbered but are very old. What would the correct grips for a 1930 year model look like? Thanks Vic
