    M&P 15 stuck cases..

Solved.. the bushing dies only resize the top 80-85% of the neck, and although the rounds easily chambered, gauged correctly, etc, they hung up just enough for cases with defective rims to rip the rim off. I expect that a rifle gas system (versus carbine) might have been gentle enough to not...

    M&P 15 stuck cases..

46 was a Federal reload.. I think I do have a brass issue.. Looking at the rims of other cases in the run with a magnifying glass, some have what I'd call "voids" in the brass on the back inside rim right at the bottom (sort of thing that would happen if the cutter wasn't clearing.).. I'm...

    M&P 15 stuck cases..

Okay guys.. "not" that stupid.. yes I went back to the range with lots of ammo (new reloads, factory, etc).. all ran fine till round "46".. ripped the rim off again.. Did some more surfing and there seems to be some consensus that Federal cases are soft? Anybody have any experience with...

    M&P 15 stuck cases..

Okay, did the super clean job.. nothing obvious in the chamber (it's pretty smooth), or anywhere else.. so we'll get back to range on weekend and see if it's running smoother.. Will post further if troubles persist.. thks for the suggestions!

    M&P 15 stuck cases..

Confused.. I have a Smith M&P AR-15 with about 250 rounds thru it. I also have a Wilson .223 case gauge and am using Redding dies. I reloaded some Federal cases and after loading they easily fit in the case gauge, pretty much at the shorter measurement, loaded rounds easily slip in and out of...

    Barrel locking lugs freeplay

Wondering what the acceptable freeplay on the barrel locking lugs is for a 5906 PPC 9? Obviously tighter is better, but at what point does it start to affect accuracy? thks Peter

    WTB: 5906 PPC but DA\SA

The performance center made some 5" 5906's that were actually a DA\SA trigger. If you have one you're willing to part with, let me know.. thks!! Peter

    59xx extractor questions

Picked up a used 5946 a while ago, and it has an extraction problem. The brass pulls back about 1/4" but doesn't eject. Happening about 1, or 2 rounds in 20 kinda thing. If I push the rounds in the mag down, letting the slide go ahead, and rack the slide the case always comes out.. Have a match...

OAL and seating against the lands

First set of results These were shot at 30 yds from Ransom rest with a CZ85 (4.72" barrel).. Will get the Smith PPC-9 (5") out soon, it's slide\bushing are noticibly tighter.

    Need Opinions on Progressive Presses

I've had a 550 for 3 years, and just added a 650. 550 is easy to operate, and toolheads \ caliber conversions are resonable....but the lack of a powder check is there. 650 is a dream to crank out volumes of ammo with.. I find it about 3 times faster than 550 and luv it!

OAL and seating against the lands

The consensus is that for best accuracy (especially with cast) that the bullet should rest against the lands (or have very small jump .005").. so I measured a couple of 9mm's I have. With one bullet the CZ85 produced an OAL of 1.124".. my S&W PPC9 is a full .060" longer and the bullet is...
