Friend refused on background for a nice 36-1

How does a background check that finds you were convicted of a crime serious enough to cause you to lose your right to own a gun presume that you're guilty? It seems to me that it's a check to see if you have any convictions, and a conviction is not a presumption. It's a conviction! Not having...

    586 no dash date made?

That says 686 on the frame. The 586 is blue.

    Parabellum TDS in Toledo, OH

I've never had someone tell me that they can't take a payment over the phone, or had such a callous lack of interest in making a sale. It's not the worst I've ever been treated, but the forum exists for us to report our experiences, and this was pretty far down my list of personal highlights...

    Parabellum TDS in Toledo, OH

They have a Facebook page and do business with Bud's. I think they're a real business, just not particularly well set up.

    Parabellum TDS in Toledo, OH

Seller on armlist had a 686-4 plus for sale at $600. Great price on a highly desirable no-lock 7-shot L-frame. I called him up this morning and asked if it was still available; it was. I'm in Cleveland. I asked if he could ship it to my FFL; he said no, he doesn't ship firearms any more...

Gun Show Find: 28-2 Highway Patrolman

I bought a 4" 28-2 last month for $450 + shipping + transfer, and was happy. Mine's nicer cosmetically, fired very little, no turn line, but no box. Great trigger, and I put a turn line on it because it needed it. Lately everyone seems to want $6-700, and compared to what else you can get for...

    28-2 Prices

I just picked up a 4" N53xxxx serial number in excellent condition, original grips, no box, for $450. Yes, that's a steal.

New to me 586 No Dash

If it's anything like mine is to shoot, you are going to absolutely love that revolver. I have a no-dash with a patridge sight, and one with a red ramp, and I love both but slightly prefer the patridge for some reason. I just seem to aim it better.

    Purchased 686-1 Today

$550 is a good if not great price for any L-frame in good condition. You probably won't see much lower than that, and many higher. I generally see them offered at $600-850.

Am I crazy to sell off 27-2 and 29-2 for a Python?

If they reintroduce the Python, it would be the same as Smith's classics series. No one in their right mind looks at a 2014 model 22 and thinks it's the same thing as a pre-war model 22. The skill needed to make a true Python is long retired, and will never come back again. If Colt wanted to...

Jovino model 25-2 ? You decide.

So did you sell him the gun in the 80s, and buy it back? Or did you know his story was BS, but know it was a good gun and bought it anyway?

    28-2 vs 686 choice

Buy both. Shoot both. Then buy more.
