Good point about gloves. I have a pair of tactical gloves somewhere. I am going to try to find them before I go to the range again. I will see if they improve my next shooting session with my 629.
I really like the 3" 629. hope I can get one for another "unofficial" birthday present. They are scarce here in South Georgia. I guess those that own them have to have them pried from their hands to part with them.
Jesse, you have the same problem I have. You too don't know when you have too many guns. I haven't broken the code, so I just keep buying more until I figure it out. Oh yea! Shoot .44 spl out of your carry gun unless you are in bear country. Just a suggestion.
Thanks friend. No. The dealer didn't have original box or papers. He said the owner needed cash and had to part with it. I bought new grips, 3 speed loaders, and a handsome Galco holster. What a great unofficial birthday gift; unofficial because I bought it for myself. I absolutely love it, in...
I see the light friend. I was wondering what a practical reason was to own a .500 and you gave it. Griz eat people with small guns. In Ga hiking I carry a .357 or .44 mag. Before I read this thread I thought the .500 was to launch small satellites in orbit or kill elephants on the edge of the...
You nailed it Bluto. The key to success is to roll with it instead to fight the recoil. That's what I did when firing some hand cannons as mentioned above. A man who tries to hard to fight the recoil will get hurt.
Is the Springfield still available.
I have a Gen 4 Glock 19 black (not OD). $525 to purchase still stand to purchase outright and to ship to FFL?
What does PM, Bump, and BTT mean? Just curious. I am new to this forum. Thanks.
I purchased a S&W 629-1 stainless .44 mag with 6" barrel a few days ago for my 52nd birthday present. I inspected the gun closely for two days at my local dealer before I bought it and am convinced it is a keeper. The serial number is N926901. Does anyone know how I can determine the year of...
I just bought a S&W 629-1 for a birthday present for myself a few days ago. I was happy until I saw this picture. That 629 comp carry is a handsome gun and is about as perfect a carry gun as can be had.
I was shooting a .357 magnum at a range on FT Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia. A retired First Sergeant sat next to me on a bench with cannons; a Desert Eagle .50, a 45-70 revolver (no kidding), and a .454 catsull. He stole the show when he shot these guns. Literally everyone stopped to observe...
