I was asking $950 and $400 so.... how's $1250 plus shipping?
Plus I will throw in steel and plastic moon clips, not sure how many I have, but several...
This 646 is from the second batch S&W produced, I believe it is #98 of 300 made.
It is not the performance center model. I had it bored out to 10mm and ran some low pressure rounds through it. I fluxed the cylinder afterward and it showed zero problems. According to S&W it was proofed much...
Yup, that's right! According to the guy on the phone at S&W back when I bought it as a spare for my 646 it was the last one in stock. I called a year ago for a friend and asked after a spare (didn't want to sell mine yet) and they said "good luck finding one".
Well... My friend did a custom...
Funny I saw your post as I was getting ready to post a for sale post about my 646 and my spare cylinder.... The 646 was bored out for 10mm and I have had no problems with the low pressure 10mm out of it. I had the cylinder fluxed and zero stress cracks....

I am afraid not. It was a masterful job, except for the hole for the ser # to be visible. It was a little rough. But it's on the bottom. As for removal, I suspect you will have to use leverage and they should break or crack off.
They are ok, just not swappable.
***SOLD PENDING FUNDS*** Yup, I have two of these it seems! I am letting the one I don't shoot go. It is a 2 3/4 inch Performance Center .44 mag, shot very little by my friend. The proverbial one cylinder. I put a few through and put it away.
Unfortunately he ditched the factory stocks and...
*** EDIT: Slight price reduction to adjust to market***
I will relist the two that didn't sell later to keep it clean.
Howdy,
I have a whole mess of stocks/grips/etc that I am trying to find a home for. It's time to clean out the drawers of stuff that hasn't seen the light of day for years...
Well shoot. Externally they strongly resemble a set for a Colt Python I saw that did have all the interior marks like a Roper. Lacking this internally didn't seem entirely like a deal killer but cast doubt for me.
Now I wonder who made them if not Sanderson or Harrit....
What about these? The Lady Smith came with L frame smooth stocks. The bottom pair came with the 28-2 although I know they are not original; they are very nice wood perhaps cocobolo? I put the T Grip adapter in there and would like to find a correct set for the gun.
But I have never seen either...
