Also many people suggest putting the 9mm barrell in the 40, which you can do and I would be ok with while target shooting. But I would never trust that when carrying.. I pray I never have to discahrge my weapon but if the situation arises I like knowing absolutely that it will go bang.

I called the local academy and they were put on a no sale hold and received that notice straight from smith and wesson. From what I have gathered it pertains to newly bought shields. not those of us who bought it months ago(=

I thought they already released it? And If this turns out to be a recall I will be doing the same and going to the Apex

So there is a recall? I have put almost 1000 rounds through mine... its my EDC. I find it hard to believe something is wrong with all the shields.
