    A couple yrs ago, had a black snake in my work shop in SW Va. I only saw bits and pieces of him as he always laid behind all my junk on the work bench. Trouble was, he stayed right beside the light switch ! I wrestled with killing him or not, but figured he was keeping down the mouse...

    Pre 29 question

    Most 5 screw frames were gone by the 160 thou serial number range. There was one run in the 170's that pops up now and then. By 180's it is all 4 screw. I would expect 174xxx to be a 4 screw.

    I am ordering a sear jig for a 1911 platform. Instructions call for an India stone and a Arkansas stone. I have the Arkansas and MAYBE the India stone. Can anyone ID an India Stone in the pic attached? Thanks

    New Acquisition

    Chances are the extractor rod has backed out, tying up the extractor rod in the lock. try to tighten the knurled end of the ejector rod with your fingers. A cloth might help. If you can turn it just a little, the cylinder may unlock. Yours has right hand threads.
