    I am planning to buy a CCW sub compact 9mm and was wondering if S&W makes a decent subcompact ccw 9mm similar to Kahr PM9 , Kahr CW or even Taurus PT709 Slim.....I want to keep my weapons in the S&W Family.... I currently have a S&W 642 and a Stainless steel model 686-6 , 4 inch 7 shot

    can't open cylinder (model 642)

    played around with the ejector rod by making it not as tight....this appears to be a recurring problem (2x in the last 4 weeks)....any suggestions on a easy fix.....Never had such a problem on my 686-3 4inch even after 1000 rounds

    have fired approximately 200 rounds in the model 642....planning to go to firing range on tuesday but discovered i cannot open the cylinder to load...How do I open the cylinder without damaging anything.....thanks

    please help me solve this problem....Purchased a new S&W 642 and have fired about 200 rounds in the last month.... This morning fired about 20 rounds, every thing worked fine at the range....at home cleaned the firearm and now I am not able to open the cylinder while pressing the safety...
