Well Gary the turtle wax worked wonders on the snubby, but the 4in is gonna take some wool. So much *** that I just quit on the polish. Too much buildup and oxidation. The polish does a great job of, well polishing. It takes the smudges right off. Great suggestion sir, thank you.

Picked up the chrome polish today. I'm wanting to try and not use the wool just to seehow far I can get without. Its what everyone recomends so I'm sure I will eventually use it.

Gonna clean up the 4in how I did the snubby last night but being more cautious with the hoppes. Come tomorrow evening ill have some TW chrome polish and we will see what happens. *fingers crossed*

Not sure if u can make it out but barrel is labeled .38 S&W special ctg. Does that mean anything special?

Hey Gary thanks for the words of encouragement. I paid 300 plus another marlin .22lr model 60 for it. I guess u could honestly say I have 500 into both these guns but I don't look at it that way. Id much rather have these solid pieces of history over a .22 marlin ANY DAY.

And the grips I bought for snubby fits this 4in.. COOL!!!!!

So heres the 2nd gun. A 1978 15-4. The blue is toast from holster duty. I aftually had to spend some cash on this one. But alltogether I have less than 200 in both.

How do u feel about brake parts cleaner? Only thing I had on hand to get the hoppes out. I cleaned it up real quick and didn't let it sit.
