How much should i ask for my M&P9c

I wouldn't go over $500, and I think that is high. When I see ads for over new price on a used gun, I don't care what accessories they include; it is a deal-killer to me. The stippling has also greatly devalued the gun and the CT, IMO. Once you start carving on a gun, you should consider it a...

    M&P 9 Shield -vs- M&P9c

I just got mine today from my LGS for $390 + tax. I really like this gun and was seriously considering the LC9 before this came out. I think the Shield is far superior to the LC9 and in no way replaces my compacts. The compacts have more fire power, can use full-size mags, and will be more...

    XS BIG DOT SIGHT

I've been using a Warren tactical rear sight on 3 of my M&P's with big dot fronts and really like them. I have the rear sights with a single rear dot night sight. The rounded rear sight works by just dropping the big dot in the rear u-notch.

    S&W M&P compact 45 VS Glock 36

I have aG36 and 2 M&P45C's. I like them both, but do not consider them to be interchangeable. The M&P works fine as a main carry gun, as others have said, about the size of a G19/23/32. The G36, to me, is a great backup, or as a quick grab and go when going to the store. I don't find the recoil...

    Another M&P in the stable

I'll trade a 9FS for a 9Pro... :) Great find, BTW. You would have kicked yourself all the way home if you had left without it for that price.

Decided I need to practice my coloring!!!

Now that is different and pretty cool! I guess that would be the Zombie Hunter version.

You mean like the single-stack G36?

Took the plunge on the M&P 45 Compact

Mine was LE also, that's all Bud's Police Supply sells. I know that all of the 9/357/40 M&P's are supposed to be 3 mags, but my 45C had only 2. Maybe the fact that it was DFE made a difference, but I doubt it.

Took the plunge on the M&P 45 Compact

I bought the 45C in DFE from Bud's Police, and mine came with 2 mags. The grey on the frame is mostly powder residue and usually wipes off with a rag. You could use a spray oil or CLP if it was really stubborn, but I haven't had any problem getting it off. Good luck with your new gun.

    good deals on M&P

I got my 357C from them. I have ordered many times from CDNN, and they are always great to deal with.

    Recoil of M&P 40C

As I said, it is subjective. Perhaps that is how it works for you, but I have seen others shoot a .45 like it was a .22 with amazingly fast shot recovery. I don't feel a significant difference in shot recovery times due to recoil-mine is almost always in sight recovery due to my aging eyes. The...

Bud's Police Site - does not ask for proof?

You have to provide credentials before the gun ships.

    Recoil of M&P 40C

All of these comments seem generic and not really to the OP's question. The difference between each compact M&P is 2 rounds: 12 for 9mm, 10 for .40/.357, and 8 for .45, so the quantity isn't that much of a factor. Secondly, the 45C has a 4-in barrel vs. the 3.5-in barrel of the other compacts...

    Recoil of M&P 40C

I have all of the compact models: 9/357/40/45 and I don't find any of them difficult to control. The 357 is the punchiest of all as it is a very fast round, but is still comfortable to shoot. I also own full-sizes in these calibers and am always surprised at how well the compacts compare in...

    New M&P 40c owner... with a question

I have removed it from every gun I had that came with them. I don't think it is necessary for my personal firearms and it makes slide removal a PITA.
