So you say it’s not a conspiracy

Holy smoke. Received a add from the Glock site for primers and powder. Federal primers $250 per thousand. WOW I know it's not going to happen for me. If that's really the price we start having to pay I'm done. That's not hard for me to say, that's just stupid prices, it will be hard to let go...

    Primers

I know when this mess finally breaks, I hope to have enough souces lined up, that I can buy face to face and forget this on line pricing. Maybe by then the online sellers may offer some deals in bulk. Doubt it but quantity and price are the drivers along with availabiity. I wonder if the feds...

    Bullet order

Bullets I think Oregon Trail are first class. 90% of what I shoot are Summers Bullets. He doesn't mess around and has great prices. He's not accepting any orders until 1 May. His site reflects that. His quality is pretty darn good. He's a competitive shooter as well. Dan :)

The new Lee die lock rings (lock nuts), What do you think

These are no sweat after I made my own spanner wrench to tighten them. I couldn't get my fat fingers down inbetween the dies on the turrent to tighten them snuggly. I discovered after I made the wrench it really didn't take much to snug them up. Took me aout 10 minutes with a scrap aluminum...

Alliant Red Dot for .45 ACP target loads?

Red Dot A few light years back (1970) we were shooting military hardball in our 1911's. Believe it or not us military couldn't get enough. So we started rollin our own. We did quite a bit of research and discovered that 5 grains of red dot matched the military load to a T. That was great for us...

Electronic powder scale vs. mechanical balance scale

I use both. I bought a set of test weights they tell the truth. So far the electronic has been good to go. Someone mentioned air currents and heat. I sure can back that statement up. Sometimes even the smallest air current makes a difference you have to keep that in mind, I'm sure someone has...

    Model 10 - First Handloads

Depends on what you want out of the load. I shoot 231 & Titegroup at 3.2. for 25 yd everday shooting. Very low recoil fun to shoot aren't straining the pistol or me in the least. I might add it also saves a lot of powder Each gun and person are a little bit different but this works very well for...

New to 9mm - worth reloading?

Depending on where you are 9mm brass is everywhere. Even police depts give it away. Most ranges don't care if you pick up a couple thousand that are lying around. For just throwing lead I use 125 gr Summers Bulets $25 for 500. Counting primer and powder I'm right at $9.00 a box of 50. Sure...

    642 Question

642 The word continuous may have to be diagnosed. I have one with a CT Laser that has well over 500 rds std +P downrange and it still shoots to point of aim at 15 yds. I'm not sure if I want to shoot more than 50 or so at a time she's a little snappy. But I have no doubt it would handle it...
