I always wanted a Bren Ten, too much Miami Vice as a kid I guess. I've got the Smith 4506 and Detonics Combat Master but could never score a Bren Ten before they went for crazy prices.
Not sure about these DAO's though I have one. Was looking for a 1066 as companion for my 1006 a few years back and found a NIB 1086 so I snagged it. Wasn't what I was looking for but the $400.00 price was to hard to pass up. Maybe I should break that thing out and see if I have been missing...
I found a NOS Bianchi 9R on Backpage from an estate sale for $35.00 for my 649. Wasn't sure I'd like the whole upside down thing but I just love it. Comfortable, easy on and off and very concealable. Can't believe they fell out of favor. I'd definitely pony up more to replace it if something...
I do that some. I've rounded out my perceived needs/wants list but don't get around to firing them for awhile. Picked up a new Tavor but it''s the old Uzi carbine that seems to go to the range instead. With me anyway, I think it's more of a no hassle instant gratification thing. As busy as I am...
I put the Diamond Pro grips on my 649 Bodyguard and like them a lot. They seem smaller than the Compacs and I love the palmswell and the grip material.
I have the Diamond Pro Grips on my 649 and like them a lot. They are smaller than the Compacs and have a little palm swell that feels great. The material is softer than Pachmayr's of old. I had the Houge Tamer grips on the 649 but like these much better. Going to get a set for my 638.
If you like the Pachmayr Compacs give their new Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips a try. I got a pair for my 649 Bodyguard and really like the shape and feel.
I bought a 49 Bodyguard and then a 649-2 back in the 90's while working at a gun store while in college. I noticed the actions/controls seem to "snick more" for a lack of a better term than the new ones. Like there is more going on inside. When you cock them you hear a pleasing mechanical...
I had the Compacs and like the shape and material on these much better. They also seem smaller than the Compacs. It's all subjective of course, your mileage may vary.
