    45 sheild

I have in the past owned a 9C, FS45, 9 Shield and I have to admit though I now have another 9C that the 45 Shield is my favorite. Loaded with 160 grain +P Barnes TAC-XP it is a soft shooter for a 45 and pretty flat shooting.

    127gr +P+ Winchester Ranger T in M&P 9?

It's kind of funny that folks are ready and willing to step up and proclaim ammo made by a major manufacturer like Winchester is basically a Ka-Boom waiting to happen. For some law enforcement this is their duty round. Maas recommends it on the Glock forum. Do you really think the Glock is a...

Best adjustable rear sight for a M&P

I could be wrong but I don't think he is asking for advice on a sight installation tool. He wants to know who makes a good adjustable sight for these pistols.

Shield 45 EDC Safety model or NO SAFETY?

You must not have ever had a black vehicle if you say it's hard to keep a white vehicle clean. I've had black, never again. My wife and I both have white vehicles actually they don't show dirt nearly as bad as many other colors.

    Aaron did it again........

No more than the 45 Shield or my VZ grips on my 1911s. Just have to toughen up the old hands.

Your favorite gun-- you never EDC?

Lots of us have those but they are hard to carry AIWB. If you can't shoot that better than a pistol we have to worry about you.:D:eek:

    Shield holster ?

I have a Jel Tec for my 45 Shield and love it. I have slightly modified it to make it even more comfortable. He uses 2 retention screws below the trigger guard. One is sufficient so I removed the bottom one and trimmed back the excess kydex I also opened up the holster above the mag release...

Your favorite gun-- you never EDC?

My Kimber Pro Carry HD. I fitted it with an ED Brown Bobtail mainspring housing added VZ grips. EGW ball head disconnector and sear, a Wilson bullet proof hammer, titanium firing pin, ambi safety and flat spring kit. It has the best trigger I have ever felt in a 1911 and I wouldn't sell it...

    Aaron did it again........

A2 Stippling is his business name. Do a Yahoo or Google search and you should find it. His prices are very reasonable. I paid $32 for a grip insert, a magazine release and a magazine base pad plus shipping. I will get a tool which holds the grip insert in place to match as shown in the above...

9mm vs 45 ACP in a Shield single stack EDC pistol

I don't really know how old the OP of this thread is but I will be 74 tomorrow. I am about 5 ft. 9 in. tall and weigh 175#. So I'm not huge by any means. At present I am wearing denim cargo shorts and carrying a 45 Shield in a Jel Tec Holster AIWB and a M&P 9C in my right front pocket...

Anyone running a Tulster Profile (Shield) holster?

When I do a Yahoo search I find Jel Tec Holsters. You can also find them on eBay and that is where they sell their holsters. They don't have magazine carriers at present but I have inquired about them. Hopefully they will add them to their lineup. Their holsters are only available in black...

Anyone running a Tulster Profile (Shield) holster?

I have looked very carefully at the Tulster holster and it likes like a well made product. I have a Jel Tec holster for my 45 Shield that cost less than half of what the Tulster costs and shipping is free. The holster retention device appears to be the same on both of them and mine will fit a...

9mm vs 45 ACP in a Shield single stack EDC pistol

In my 45 Shield I carry 160 grain Barnes TAC-XP handloads loaded to +P specs from Barnes. This is an all copper bullet which is almost identical in length to a conventional 230 grain hollow point but much faster. I know it is a more expensive bullet but then what is your life worth. The...

Shield 45 EDC Safety model or NO SAFETY?

Both my 1911s have a thumb safety as does my Sig 938 so the manual of arms is consistent. I also pocket carry without a holster so I prefer the TS. No matter whose pocket carry holster you use it adds to the overall thickness and it may come out with the gun when you draw. So I prefer to...
