Thanks Armorer951 for the reply, only the one catches, the one in fiancee gun does not catch at all and that is why I was concerned. I think I'll contact customer support at S&W and see what they have to say.

I just bought a SW MP Shield in 9mm on Sunday. On doing my initial clean I noticed that when pulling the slide back the it catches and sticks when all most all the way back. I have narrowed it down the the recoil spring. I tried to attach a pick. I to give you an idea if you pull the slide back...
