What I have seen from looking at the sear. As the trigger is pulled the sear moves rearward and down away from the striker. If you have the gun apart and operate the trigger you will see this happening. Near the end of the sear travel rear ward it has pulled the striker back then a little more...
Just picked up my brand new SD9 and no way in heck can I get that 16th round in those new mags. So I figure I"ll just keep the 15 in them for now. Beside if I can't stop something or someone with 15 rounds it really don't matter.
