First time firing my 360 PD bad experience

Yep, when I work in a gun shop. Every time someone asked me about the recoil in the S&W 340/360. With full power 357’s I would tell them it was like hitting a telephone pole with an aluminum ballbat as hard as you can… I carried 38+p’s in mine. Great guns. I think they weigh 12oz.. But you pay...

    S&W Outdoorsman

Just have it repaired. A good gunsmith can fix that. My guy fixed a chipped set of N frame grips for me, you could not tell it was repaired when he was done. If you Do fix it,just tell the next guy the grips been repaired. A good gunsmith wood guy can fix it and you’ll may never be able to to tell.

What was your first Smith and Wesson??

Model 19-2 4" blue in box with everything. 100.00 + 4.25 tax. Of course this was 1972. I was 16 and my mom not only trusted me, but also did the paperwork on it. And it was missing the i the the Smith and Wesson on the R side of the pistol where it says Made in USA SM TH & WESSON. Like most one...

What gun are you on the lookout for?

I’m easy, and just too cheaper as I get older. For what ever reason. I want a S&W 16 .32 6” barrel. But not willing to pay 1600-2000

Favorite 38 spl self defense load

I just see on YouTube that old is new again. They were say that the 38 cal 148 FWC is again a very good option for self defense. There stance or point was that the flat edge of the FWC will cut/ break bones and not be deflected. Also the lower power Target load will not over penetrate. Just my...

My experience & opinion as to costs of reloading now days.

I have been loading since 1976. Now days I load and shoot 90% cast bullets. That I make and PC. That’s as cheap as it gets now days. I am always on the hunt for components. I have 20,000 primers and 30 lbs of powder on hand. Plus 300 lbs of lead for casting. But always looking for more. I have...

    Mags for M -1 carbine

Your post is spot on, if the guy doesn’t like the carbine, he should just get another rifle. A lot of his complaints are minor and most real gun guys could address in short order. I have seen issues with after ma mags, GI mags work 95+. % of the time. But the same with most combat rifle mags.

Scored these grips at a yard sale

I agree, 100 for both is Oknifvyour keeping them. Theres not a lot of retail value unless you find that guy. I do estate sales. I buy all the grip I can afford, but I’m buying to resale. If I sell a set for 75.oo eBay charges me about 10.oo to sell them. So I’m down to 65.oo minus what I paid...
