I have the M&P R8 it is an excellent shooter.. hard to go wrong with an N Frame .357..... a lot of fun.

Make sure that you check the screw that attaches the compsenator, it is notorious for coming loose.

pay attention to the screw that holds the compensator on. Mine tends to loosen up after lots of shooting.

if it feels good, looks good (passes visual inspection) then buy it. I have a few Smiths, and my experience is that i find them to be fine hand guns...

i have the R8, as previously mentioned it's a great shooter, i use hand loaded .357 Mag only thru it. approx 3K rounds. vortex razor red dot

i have the x-frame tamer grips, and also Ahrends... the rubber grips are a little large, but make the recoil a bit more friendly.

very nice shooting! i like some of the others am retired, so i shoot whenever i get the feeling.. the other day i was trying to kill some squirrels at about 150 yds with a 629-6. they all survived.. haha i just used my credit card at summers ent... great deal

I find it doesn't matter too much, at arms length see the dot hit the target (assuming you get it dialed in)
