I have not come across any on you tube. The bipod i have has a quick disconnect thumb screw so i would be able to remove it when i wanted to save weight. that is why i am looking for a lighter weight mounting option than a quad rail
I have an M&P 15-OR that I want to attach a bipod to. I am looking for some kind of mount that will either attach under the gas block to the sling point or to the bottom of the hand guard. I do not want to replace the handguard with a quad rail. Any suggestions would be appreciated
I recently purchased a M&P 9c to add to my collection. However as I have been practicing dry firing it with snap caps, I was disappointed to find that the trigger pull is horrible when compared to my other M&Ps (40FS, 40c and 9mm shield). The trigger pull is very sloppy and is very spongy on...
While shooting this weekend, the pin that sticks out of the side of one of my 22a magazines to aid in loading fell out of the follower. Is there a way to disassemble the magazine to replace it or do I need to call customer service?
Update
I received my shield back today exactly 2 weeks after i sent it in for repair. the sear disconnect lever was back where it should be and worked fine and i was able to field strip the pistol for cleaning. I have not gotten to shoot it yet, but I doubt there will be any issues. They even...
Thanks everyone for the input. I called S&W customer service yesterday and spoke to Derrick who was very helpful and I have a return label on it's way to me via mail. Apparently, they don't e-mail them out anymore as fed-ex kept getting them mixed up. As soon as I get the label, it will be on...
I picked up a second 9mm shield yesterday. When i went to field strip and clean it prior to firing it for the first time, the sear disconnect lever fell out of the magazine well of the gun when I disengaged it to begin field stripping the pistol. I disengaged the take down lever and when I...
I ended up getting the used gun. I couldn't talk him down, but the gun looks brand new. It could really pass as NIB. All the original paperwork was included in the box. The date on the spent casing from the factory is December of 2002.
I shot 75 rounds (50 .38+p and 25 .357) with it this...
I think i am going to go with the used one. Unfortunately, it is NOT a pre-lock as it was made in 2003. I really wish it was a pre lock gun, but I have not seen too many used 686s for sale in my area. The $780 for new is the lowest price i have found for a new one at any of my LGS.
I know...
I am trying to decide on weather or not to buy a new or a used 686 4". My LGS is selling new 686s for $780+tax. One of my co workers has a friend who is selling a 686 that he bought in 2003 for $650. The gun was used as a range gun and was not carried. It has about 300 rounds of .38+P and 25...
Thank you for the information. I will be sure to clean the revolver before I shoot it for the first time because it has been sitting for so long. Do I need to use any form of lubrication on the cylinder and if so, where should it be applied. I will pick up some wax to put on the finish soon.
I recently inherited a 6" model 17-2 from my grandmother when she moved into a nursing home. The gun has been sitting in a drawer for at least 12 years loaded. It appears to be in good condition and the finish appears to be mostly intact. I am new to revolvers and wanted some tips on the best...
