    Transfer of ownership

After all this discussion, I now understand why my friend has opted out of selling directly to my brother and wants me to be the intermediary to pick up the hassle. Not going to happen. My brother is just going to have to find his own deal down in ole Missasip. As for me, I have no use for...

    Transfer of ownership

Thanks - didn't know about the FFLs at both ends.

    Transfer of ownership

That's somewhat true ---- but the same thing can be said for most any gun. Why then do people go through the effort of shipping and FFL on the receiving end?

    Transfer of ownership

I think you are saying that if I buy the gun from my friend, and then turn around and sent it to a FFL in Miss and my brother gets his background check -- that I still could be in trouble because of the reason I bought the gun in the first place? Not sure I want that hassle. The gun is a...

    Transfer of ownership

Thanks for your response Wouldn't my transaction, all done here in Virginia be similar to the so-called "gun show" loop-hole, wherein a background check is not required?

    Transfer of ownership

A friend of mine, who lives in my home state of Virginia, has a nice Glock for sale. My brother, who lives in Miss, is in the market for this type of gun -- and being as I think this would be a good deal, I am going to try to convince him to buy it. However, the seller doesn't want to go...

Who's using the m&p shield for home defense and carry?

What I've done lately is to put my Shield on my dresser at night as an option in case of a break in. My regular HD gun is my FS 9, which I keep in a small gun vault attached to my bed frame. My Shield is always with me, usually in a pocket holster. Sent from my Galaxy SIII on Tapatalk 2

    Holster advice

Suzy You've already been provided with a few leather options, which I agree best conforms to what the particular outfit you would be wearing for your landscaping job. Jeans probably or kakis and with a belt? I love the Winthrop holsters (comes in black also) Winthrop Holsters, LLC Home...

    M&P Shield Night Sights

AmeriGlo SW-145 (Classic 3-dot). Made for the Shield. The nice advantage of the AmeriGlo over other tritium sights is that the AmeriGlo is kind of a hybrid. Has white surrounding the tritium. Therefore, in daylight you see the white dots. At dusk, you still mainly see the white dots which...

Frustrated with My new Shield 9

SMR I bet your trigger is that fault. My 40 Shield was causing the same thing AND I didn't like the trigger. A little gritty and the break point was like a wall. I put an Apex mod in and life is good.

    Shield without safety?

The safety had no bearing whatsoever on my purchase of the Shield. As with my other guns, had the gun been designed without one, I still would have purchased it. I have been training myself to engage the safety whenever I am handling the weapon or it is outside of a holster. Likewise, I have...

    Should I Get an M&P Shield .40?

Just about everything in life is a compromise. Having a Shield 40 instead of a 9 means I am one round short no matter which mag I use. But, even with the smaller mag, I have 7 rounds to get me through a SD situation. If I need more than that, then -- in a manner of speaking -- I have probably...
