The Sand Pebbles wasn't a war movie. The setting was a USN gunboat on the so-called Yangzee (sp?) patrol. I love Kelly's Heros, but I see it as a bank heist movie in a war setting. More fun that way!

Fear Strikes Out More about mental disorder, brought on by an overbearing father, with baseball career as the backdrop. Heh, I wanted to mention Rhubarb. Watched it as a kid. "Fred" from I Love Lucy was in it.

I watched it on Amazon a couple of weeks ago.

Another great movie, if you haven't seen, is 12 Strong. It covers a special forces team in the very earliest days of the Afghanistan conflict (as in one month following Sept. 11). Very well done and fun to watch.
