    S&W Model 18-3

I don't have the latest copy of the Standard Catalog of S&W but my 4th edition copy on pg. 137 refers the Pre-Model 17 as K-22 Masterpiece and the Pre-Model 18 as K-22 Combat Masterpiece.

    1950 44 Target and a Box Study

One of my favorite things about this forum is when a beautiful revolver like yours is posted with all of the original accouterments. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration to continue the hunt, for the next hidden treasure.

    My new concealed-carry trio

Nice package and great photo. Also, thanks for sharing your holster and ammo choices. My EDC is a Shield in 40 S&W. I recently picked up the new model 36-11 and would like to carry it as well, but I have not yet obtained a holster.

    Model 33-1 4"

Bastogne71, Thank you for your analysis and deduction's. The gun also came with its original receipt, but the first digit of the year is not legible. I believe you are correct with the 1966 assessment. The date of sale appears to be 8/25/x6. If I decide not to keep this one, I will let you know.

    First year pre 29

Congratulations on completing your search. That is certainly one of the most gorgeous stock revolvers I've ever seen! A photo of the completed package would be cool to see. Thanks for sharing your magnificent pre-29.

    Grips 617 Revolver - USA

My 617 no dash came to me with K square butt combat stocks. I don't know if they are original, as I did not receive it with its box.

    Model 33-1 4"

Yesterday I visited a favorite gun shop to pick up some 1076 magazines for a couple of fellow forum members. As soon as the owner saw me, he said, I've got something for you. Priced at $699 plus tax, I didn't try to negotiate. He has treated me very well on other guns and accessories, plus this...

Pre 92 N Frame Rear Sight Part Number

Have you tried calling or emailing S&W customer service? Even if the sight is no longer available, they may be able to give you the correct part number for your model 625, based on its serial number.

Were you law enforcement in the 70’s-80’s? What did you carry?

Base security patrolman 1984-1987 Naval Air Station Millington, TN. Base consisted of two major commands. The air station and the naval aviation training center. Patrolled both facilities, including on and off base housing areas. Was issued a police service six then a speed six. Both chambered...

    Please help identify revolver

From what I have read it is likely a Dan Wesson model 715. That was the designation for stainless steel guns in 357 magnums. I don't buy that story at all. I've seen many stainless DW revolvers throughout the years and continue to do so. It's my understanding that the guns produced in Palmer...

    10-5 box value

Beautiful gun, Sir. If I were looking for a box, I wouldn't want to pay more than 50 bucks, because while it would be cool to have a model and period correct one, it's still not the real McCoy. I have seen people asking for much higher prices though. If by some miracle your exact box and...
