    M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

My son and I have been working on our new 15-22 Sport. Added the scope with qdc mount, laser, reflex with a 45° mount, light, grip, fore grip, bi-pod and sling. We also picked up a couple extra 25 round mags and one 35 round. All ammo we've ran through it works great, but we prefer the CCI...

    Subsonic semi-auto .22lr ammo

I ordered a box of Norma Tac-22 and a box of SK Rifle Match. Should be here tomorrow. I was hoping to find some Aguila, or CCI Suppressors but couldn't find any available. I'll post some results asap. Thanks, d

    Subsonic semi-auto .22lr ammo

What's the best, quietest/subsonic ammo for the M&P 15/22 WithOut the use of a suppressor? I've searched here, various sites, different forums and various stores, but can't make a definitive conclusion on which to order. Can anyone please tell me the quietest subsonic .22lr ammo brands/types...

Picatinny rails and the M-Lok system

I'm awaiting my new 2nd gen 15-22 Sport, and have ordered a laser sight, forearm grip, bipod and flashlight. I've already received a picatinny rail pack, but are not specified as M-Lok. My question is does the original picatinny rail need to be M-Lok specific? Or will I be ok with the original...

? With all due respect, sir I'm not quite understanding the grip either. Could you please post a pic showing how you position your hand to the grip leading to the trigger?

Follow up on decision and purchase

I normally buy the Winchester bricks, and they always ran well through my 1st gen 15-22. The only problem is that I noticed some of the lead projectiles weren't "seated" or "pressed" into the brass very tightly causing the round to buckle during auto load. This, however wasn't a problem so much...

Does the Tasco Red Dot need a riser?

I'm not sure of the ammo you're running, but I mainly shoot the Winchester SuperX 36gr. HP 555, from Wally's. These rounds have a trajectory of 0.0 @ 25 yards AND 45 yards. That will leave your other sight/s available for a longer range such as 75 or 100 if a co-witness isn't priority. As Phil...

Does the Tasco Red Dot need a riser?

I had an NCStar 1x30 red dot w/ the Leapers 0.83" riser and found it a bit high to co-witness with my irons. I was just gonna deal with it until the red dot took a dump, so I'm sending them both back and exchanging for another red dot and the 1/2" riser. I'll post the results between the two...

    Pistol upper/Rifle lower

Right,..it's not my weapon but as I said, I did come across the pic (on another forum) and honestly I did not ask permission to re post, so I'll leave it to administration to remove the pic if they deem fit to do so. However, I do appreciate the concern. :)

    Pistol upper/Rifle lower

I realize this has been covered on several threads, but I ran across this pic of a pistol upper on a rifle lower and thought I'd toss it up for anyone that may be interested. I'm really digging the look, but for me it just isn't worth buying the stamp and pistol or having the barrel cut. Still...

JP Ent. Trigger, Hammer, Disconector Springs

I'm sure someone will chime in with a solution, but at first thought I was guessing your springs may have changed the tension on the sears and you were experiencing (noticing) the problem more so now. I'm in no way an expert, but it's my opinion that you remove the fire group and definitely...

JP Ent. Trigger, Hammer, Disconector Springs

No, mine does not do this now. Before polishing, the trigger felt "sandy" because of the machining flaws. Mine was so bad, I could actually hear what could be described as "clicking" as I was pulling the trigger. If this was the case with your gun, you would feel this whether the action was open...

JP Ent. Trigger, Hammer, Disconector Springs

Just curious if you polished the sear. Before I did the trigger job on mine, it did the same thing due to the machining "grooves" in the hammer sear. I'm not sure if this would be the problem in your case, because you would have mos def felt this before you installed the new springs. Just a...
