I found a great Speedloader called Speed Beez for the & shot Ruger
LCR . Bought 2 for her & got them today. Works super. I also use them
With my EAA WINDICATOR 6 shot 357 & my 686+
7 shot 357 mag. Great product & sure beats twisting
Like the old one do.
I finally got my wife to the range today and she shot Aguila 40 gr. interceptors 7 Sellior & Bellot every variation of CCI ammo.
Okay. Here's what happened with my wife's Ruger LCR 22lr. She shot "CCI Velocitor" & found that it was absolutely the cleanest & best ammo with no misfires. The...
If you had a 686+ 3" 357 in magnum 3" barrel length in primo condition but want lighter S&W 6 shot, but as a accurate to handle, what would be your choice. This applies only to Smiths & Rugers.
I truly love my 3" 686+ 357 in magnum, but she's very difficult to conceal here in Florida. This one...
Somethings never change. I was given almost word for word advice back in 1970. Same advice when I got my carry in Tn. & now the same when I moved Back to Fl & got my Fl. carry permit.
Yes, I know when you're in danger & your adrenalin is flowing, it's hard to remember all you're supposed to do...
Bought 5 boxes of Velocitors today. Will try them out when they arrive.
Also picked up 2 other CCI 22 lr types. Will do my own report back to
The Forum afterwards.
From what I've reads far, the CCI ammo seems to be an overwhelming choice. The only one I don't have is this frangible one. I'll try them all out with my wife & see which one works best for her.
Thanks everyone.
My wife bought a snub 22 revolver 1.78" barrel. I have no bloody idea what is considered the best SD ammo out there. Googleing just presents myriad so called experts who all have different answers & thoughts & I'm just plain stumped.
If the only revolver you had was a snub 22, what would you...
So far, I've checked out all three responses & have sent out inquiries. Please keep these responses coming. Other than the rig I wore in the 70's, it's been cheap & plain. Trying to upgrade my accessories & treat my new Smith asd it deservers.
I bought my first S&W 686+ 3" & would like to carry it concealed.
Anyone have suggestions about what do you consider is a good concealed left handed holster for me. I live in a must carry concealed state.
I'm around 5'11"+ & quite slim & carry my G19 ITW so the size & weight's not too much of a...
Many thanks to evryone for their responses to my post. I am no novice nor am I "the Pro From Dover", I'm like many who enjoy shooting & I'm not a collector. Your depth of experience & knowledge is refreshing & there are quite a few super responses that we, the non pros, appreciate.
Wow! My post took on a pretty wild ride.
It started with a simple question & evolved into
Huge gun battles, martial arts, etc.
Up until 3.5 yrs. ago I only carried a revolver.
Then I got caught up in “did I have enough
rounds just in case”! So I asked my wife’s
baby brother(special forces)...
I posted this question on a different forum & would like to include
the S&W forum in this question.
What would you want to carry for SD, a 357 in magnum revolver(6 or 7 shot) or a Glock 19 you can sub any pistol & any 357 in magnum for this discussion.
At this present time I'm going between my...
I too had 2 problems with a NIB 686+ 3". The grips
were loose & the DA was 11.5 lbs +/-. I sent it back to
S&W & was told I'd have a 4 week wait to take care of both problems. This was unacceptable so I told them just fix the grips.
When I got it back, I went to my local GS & had a trigger job...
Yes, I did have some misfires & it was with the Winchester 130 gr. in the white box. My GS made a slight adjustment & today I went back to my range to try it out. I'm certainly no expert, but for the first time I was shooting DA & my shots were within 1/2" of each other. The minimum distance was...
