Why did I get a Tac 14. Guess because it was quasi legal SBS. Added a sling attachment at the rear of the action. Almost always brought blood with factory shells. Fun with my SASS loads or 26 Gram AA Reduced recoil loads. Actually I may just SBS it and call it good!

I don't think I've ever trimmed a strait wall Revolver case except once in my life. 50 years of reloading. That was the time I trimmed some 38 cases to 38 Super length, to get full case extraction from a 2.5" model 66. The cases were then loaded to 38 supper specks.

Sounds to me like you are seating and crimping at the same time. And if that's the case, that's the problem. All the cases aren't the same length! Crimping separately should solve you problem .

Here is the example I own. It's now a true 38 Special. The Cylinder has been relined and the Sight is Parker Hale so I assume they did the work post WWII before the gun came back to the states.
