Munsterf18, I agree that an unfired 627 won't really be worth much, but does the serial number make a difference? And maybe it will, only just not in my lifetime, in which case I'm going to shoot it.

Not really a "man of means". Recently stopped spending it on whiskey so I picked up a new hobby. I bought it because I wanted that model, it just happened to have a low number. I don't think the person who took the pictures noticed it. But maybe its no big deal now days.
