Coyotes now making Detroit their home!

Back in the early 60's, at Ft. Riley, Kansas. I would chase them with my helicopter til they got pooped and laid down. I'd squash them with my skid, hop out and cut off the ears and take them to the county clerk for my money. Made a lot of beer money doing that and the local farmers loved me...

Any fans of the Douglas DC-3?

I commanded the Army CH-54 (flying crane) company at Ft. Benning in the mid-70's. We picked up the C-47 from Lawson AAF to the airborne field where the 250 foot jump towers are and the aircraft still sits there.

    Volkswagen

I've owned three Porsches, a 1963SC, 1966 911T (had it re-built at the Porsche factory in 1973) and a 1999 Carerra. The best one was the 1963 that I wish I still had to drive. It was the most fun to drive around a corner real fast and see the back end swing around and the car would almost be...

    Vietnam War Resources

The information shown extraordinary and will take you days to go through. I found myself in some of the pictures of helicopter units that I'd never seen before. The pictures by Horst Faas are world class. He flew with me many, many times in 1965-66 and was a great person to be with. Sorry he...

    Hearing protection - huh?

Tradewinds36, go to the VA and request a hearing exam from an audiologist. I didn't retire but got RIF'ed as an O4 and have full VA coverage because of a Purple Heart.

    Hearing protection - huh?

Flying helicopters for a career ruined my hearing. Got hearing aids through the VA, thank goodness, but they aren't worth a **** in a crowded room. They are great for one on one conversations.

    New member & New weapon

Decided to buy 9mm M&P and love it. Haven't fired much since I used a 9mm Browning in Vietnam in 1965/66. Figured I needed something for home protection and target shooting. Looking forward to enjoying this site.
