    Uniform Hat/Cap

I quit caring about such things on October 28th 1971 when I got out of the Marine Corps.

Coffee? Never touch the stuff. It wakes me up and ruins my day.

London to New York in One Hour, Mach 5

In the early 90s I and my brother flew from New York to Paris on the Concorde and then again from London to New York. It took an hour and a half to get to Paris and an hour to get to New York. Accelerating to cruising speed after take off felt kind of strange because the plane flexed a lot, like...

Took the Remington R1 and my 4566 and 4006 S&W's out to the range this afternoon. Both the R1 and the 4566 are 45acp and the 4006 is 40 S&W. The Ri shoots great, has a very nice trigger, and had no problems with my reloads. R1 - 50 Head shots at 20 feet. 4566 - 50 Chest shots at 20 feet. 4006 -...

New to me gun. Need help.

The K22 revolvers were superbly made field and target revolvers but their value is effected to some degree by when they were made. The stainless 66 series KF frame revolvers, also known as the "Combat Magnum, are quite popular with shooters and collectors, especially the shorter barrel models...

Lack of interest in 40 SW yet 10MM is getting popular??

I have a 3rd Gen model 4006 chambered in 40 S&W and as I do for all my firearms, except 22lr, I reload for it. Though it's fun to shoot, ballistically the 40 S&W round isn't that different from 45acp and I only bought it because I love 3rd Gen pistols. And since I also shoot and reload for .357...

How the Brits deal with extreme speeders

If you're driving less than 100mph on the open stretches of the Autobahn you're suppose to stay in the slow lane. :)

How the Brits deal with extreme speeders

When I lived in Belgium I read about a guy that had been stopped for a first offense DUI and was fined several 1000 dollars and lost his license for a year. Since his wife also used the car she was allowed to drive it but the plates were tagged with large orange stickers indicating that the car...

    My Model 10's

The barrel is stamped +P which, according to S&W , means that it's rated for higher pressures than regular barrels. It was one of the firearms I ended up with after my old man croaked and was made in 1994, exported as a PD firearm to someplace, and then imported back into the states by CIA -...

Just picked this up. Remington R1 Enhanced chambered in 45acp. It came with a set of Magpul grips + the originals, 3 Wilson Combat 8 round magazines + the originals, and a holster and mag pouch from 1791 Gunleather. The guy is getting into long range rifle shooting and his wife told him that he...

    Interesting Scam

My home phone, I don't own a cell phone, runs through a no frills answering machine and even if I'm sitting next to it when it rings I don't pick it up until and unless I hear someone talking. If it's someone I want to talk with I'll pick up and if not I just let the machine do it's job.
