Just my 2 cents worth....I owned one up to this year & my opinion is split. The gun shot awesome, I mean dead on accurate & smooth with a tight slide. Now unfortunately the gun broke down numerous times which required me to return it to S&W. The problems were with the actual barrel & feed area...
I stumbled onto one of the Lew Horton models a few months ago & really had no knowledge about them just thought it looked bad-*** in the case.
After looking at it for a while & feeling how lightweight it was although I was a little apprehensive of the price I decided to go for it that...
I've had two great buys...and amazing enough both came with lots of bad press and negative comments from others but I bit the bullet ( ha-ha) and bought them and boy oh boy am I glad I did because they are both awesome.... for me anyway.:D

Alright now we're getting somewhere.
Hand size & grips...never thought of that.
So the rubber grips may not be good for small hands which for me, I'm in that same boat, not a very big guy so a thin & slim grip is what I would like to try and have.

You have my attention here, don't just hit & run without an explaination on your Monkey Grips.
I'm new at this stuff so tell me;

Thankx guys.
Today I hooked up with a few buddies and we shot for a couple hours and again I put over 250 rounds thru my 1911 and "again" no problems and great results. Unreal !!;)
As far as the trigger goes, my first day on the range, in fact my second day also, I wasn't really too sure if the...

I was in the market for a 1911 and when I found my state does not allow the higher end manufacturers like Les Baer...
I was thinking about changing out my stock grips from my 1911DK model to something other than the wood style that my be better for target shooting and some easy competions. I'm new to the 1911 scene so I was wondering if you could suggest a company that makes a grip that won't slip around in my...
Boy I gotta tell you this 1911 is really unbelievable. Yesterday I put 500 rounds thru her and again today I put another 500 rounds thru her and when I tell you this dam thing never once jammed, stove-piped or miss fired in anyway I'm not kidding.
Every single round went thru without a single...
Honestly I was trying to hold out as I have been for almost 2 years for a Les Baer or Ed Brown model but after numerous attempts & failures to secure one due to the fact that my state suks and doesn't allow them I had to finally give in to one of the very few manufacturers that are allowed here...
