suppressor
All I had to do was get a suppressor mount that was threaded for .308 and mount it to my M&P 10. No gunsmithing needed. The task was very easy to accomplish. Definitely a do it yourself project if you have the proper tools.
I went to Walmart a few days ago on a whim. They had Remington UMC Mega Packs in stock for .45 ACP and .40. I bought two packs of the .45 acp and the clerk didn't bat an eye. A month and a half ago they had .22 550 round packs in stock and would only let you buy one. Go figure.
I carry the mid-size during the winter and it is the perfect size for a EDC gun. It shoots well and I haven't had any reliability issues with 1500 rounds through the pipe. You can't go wrong with the M&P 45.
The Walmart near me had Remington UMC .45 ACP 250 rd Mega-packs for 94$ each. I now have 500 rounds of FMJ to practice with. I went back for some 9mm but they were sold out. It was going for $64 each. They still have 7-8 boxes of .40 cal.
