Ammo cans. Steel or plastic. With a gasket lid. Ususlly throw some disectent packets i. Each can for good measure.

Another reason for leading on some commercial bullets is the lube they use is crap and dosent do its job. Its too hard.

If your bullet fits your barrel they wont lead. If the bullet is undesized it slips in the barrel cusing lead issues.

Bout 15 yrs ago i picked up a british 2nd model recut to 45 acp and one in colt. Love the guns. Wish they were that chesp still!

I have a 8in 48 and a 8in 17. I agree fun to shoot.

I would agree on the 8 3/8. If i remember smith made some silhouette gun in larger calibers that may have been 10in but i would have to fact check myself with my smith book. The first 17 with a 8 3/8 was around 58 or 59. Not sure on 48's when they came out with a 8in tube.

I bought the ruger book. Neat book talked about the differant models and desigin. The security six part talked anout how they were desigined to never wear out.
