I have the Victory and a few other .22's. I put on the Volquartsen compensated barrel and a red dot right away. I was still smiling after shooting for a couple of hours. Easy to clean when done and very accurate.

The problem is not if it has a layer but what type The Desantis that is pictured is too narrow in the last inch or so of the barrel. The green laser ion the new model is wider there.
