I haven't read through all the replies but I'm sure this has been covered - be sure to grip the gun tightly. You'll get FTE's if you limp wrist it. We had the same issue with my son's and a tighter grip helped eliminate this issue.
I read an interesting story recently that theorized that the shortage in ammo is somewhat caused by people refusing to increase prices. The theory continues that the scalpers have nothing better to do than to buy up all the cheap stuff, creating the shortage. The theory is that if prices were...
Yeah, made the same M-22 order (said it was in stock) and got the confirmation that it was on back order. Oh well. At least they estimate it to be in stock to ship on 5-25. This is the first drip of ammo I've felt was worth the price since December 2012.
Personally, I would pull my product from any anodizer that has as much trouble as this one is having and send it to any one of the thousands that are out there. Part of running a credible business is knowing when to cut a poor performing supplier loose and find another. It's a shame that such...
You may already know of this company:
W.E. BIRDSONG INC- PROTECTIVE COATINGS FOR FIREARMS AND METAL
But they do fantastic work (we have had samples of many colors on injection molded magnesium) and are very responsive.
Good luck! (my son is eagerly awaiting an FDE version from you LOL)
If you can't find a 25rd mag, look for the 10rd mags. I haven't seen one yet that wasn't a pinned or plugged mag of higher capacity. Son recently bought a 10rd that was a 32 round with a plug on the follower. Easy mod to make it full capacity. 10rd S&W mags are pinned 25rd mags.
Good luck!
I drive by their warehouse literally twice a day. Called about picking up an order instead of shipping and was told that I had to ship it. LOL. Prices a little high on most ammo that I see anyway. I'd love to do business with a local guy but I'm not going to pay to ship it when I can save us...
I'm starting to see some at the local gun shops. $550-$600 seems to be the going rate for a MOE FDE around here (Central Oklahoma) right now. Picked up my son's on Christmas eve for $540 and they had another on the shelf.
I would hold out just a little longer and keep looking and avoid paying...
My guess is that since Dick's stopped all sales of 'sporting rifles', that they would stop selling the ammo used in those rifles. Don't know for sure. Won't know either since I'll never step foot in another Dick's because of their bone-head move.
