Question for those who Refinished their slides

NP3 will be somewhat more durable than GunKote. It's also 4 times more expensive - 5 times more with NP3+. I'll take my chances with xd-hs2000 & CCR.

First class work sir. Always happy to spead the word when something is actually good! Seems we always hear too much about the bad.

    Yes, the warning goes away.

    Got my Shield Remora

It's the new version that is IWB / OWB combined. Fits the Shield perfectly even with TFO sights installed. Does it all well for about $39 including freight. Comfortable IWB at 4:00 position and converts to OWB. Great concept. In case anyone is interested it's the 6ART model with a reinforced...

    M&P Shield Barrel Defect **UPDATE**

Everyone talks about Glock customer service but S&W has always been first class in my opinion. They recently did some work on a PPS of mine and, although it did take a while, the work was flawless.

What holster do you hve for your shield?

Also using the Remora but opted for the new IWB/OWB version they just came out with. Pretty nifty.

    Got my Shield slide back....

from James at XD-HS2000.com today. Had him do the sandblast and glass bead job on it. Looks great.....dull stainless finish just as I requested. In addition he put on a set of TruGlo TFO's. I heard that the sights overhang on the Sheild somewhat but I absolutely can't detect it. Great work - $30...

M&P Shield 9 Shooting Way Low Left

My Shield .40 shoots (for me) low left. Any round, any configuration. Soooo yesterday I take it, a Nano and a P290 to the range. Same result with the Shield - no issues with the other two. I ask a fellow shooter, who I know to be a first class competitive pistol guy, to take a few shots. He's...

Is this sound rational behind going with the Shield .40?

Yep, the .40 was always available here as well during the dark days of the ammunition shortage. I have both 9mm and .40 Shields. I can tell you that the .40 is a handfull with 165gr or 155gr HSTs, but still easily manageable for a seasoned shooter. The 9 has a touch less recoil with 124gr +P...

Grip sleeve on the M&P Shield

@ Dohmein - No movement. Actually this is an extra Limbsaver I had for one of my PPS'. I'd imagine the Shield is too new for them to have updated their website....although it's obviously the hottest thing on the market right now. @ Fercho64 - Guilty as charged with regard to big hands. Hogues...

Grip sleeve on the M&P Shield

Just as an FYI for those who may be interested, the Limbsaver 12013 grip fits the Shield perfectly without any cutting or modification. I have one on my .40 Shield - no issues with it through 200 rounds or so.

How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

First post. Long time shooter & big PPS fan. Couldn't get past the fact that I have no small .40 in my inventory. Used that as rationalization to pick up the first .40 Shield I've seen for $469 @ LGS.
