BE-86 is my favorite new powder. I bought 8 pounds last year and am down to my last 2. I use it for 9mm, 45 Auto and .357. Never had an issue with using it in my Lee powder measure. I also keep a drier sheet in the hopper when not in use.

Thanks Ed, My 357 load with BE-86 for the Ruger GP100-6" is; 158 LSWC ..7.3gr 1174-1191........avg=1182 This is a very accurate load. Anything over 1200fps I've been using 2400 or AA#9

I learned how to reload from that guy. He also did a similar test using a .38 special; Cartridge Case Longevity - Part 1 - MassReloading It makes you wonder why some re-loaders prefer to use nickel plated cases, and even pay more for them.

I've had light strikes in my Ruger GP100 with the magnum primers as well as the CCI 500 small pistol primers. It happens about 1 in 100 rounds. This is with the factory hammer spring.

I use a new dime, works fine. • Cent (since 1983) - 2.500 grams = 38.58 grains • Nickel (since 1866) - 5.000 grams = 77.16 grains • Dime (since 1965) - 2.268 grams = 35.00 grains • Quarter (since 1965)- 5.670 grams = 87.50 grains

If it's 9mm, i've been using the 145gr from Summers Enterprises for steel challenge matches at my club. The following are light accurate loads that get me around 900fps from a Browning Hi Power; 3.1gr Bullseye 4.8gr. Accurate #5 3.8gr Be-86 OAL=1.14

I use the "M" die for all my lead pistol bullets. If you have one I advise that you dissemble it, remove the expander and apply loctite to the threads, because the expander WILL eventually loosen up and cause erratic case mouth flaring.

I load the Bayou 124gr TCN with 5.2gr AA#5 @ 1.07 COL Very accurate and light recoil in my Browning Hi Power. Also have used 3.5gr Titegroup with good results
