    M&P 15/Magpul mid-length

I have the mid length MOE version and so far so good. Barrel is thiner profile but is better steel if I'm not mistaken, than say the sport. Ok, now there is an MOE spec series that has a 4140 barrel, I have the original MOE with 4150 barrel.

    M&P 15 vs M&P 15 SPORT II

Would have expected the M&P15 to have 4150CMV steel like my M&P15 MOE. Could be that the chrome lining makes up for the steel?

    Xtreme Black Friday!

I love the 230gr rn for my 45 and the 124gr rn for my 9C. Though the price is up to $41 for 500 so shipped with the Black Friday sale was around $34 something. My last buy some time ago I believe they were only $35 with free shipping. I do hope the current climate in Washington sees prices...

Pocket reamer for 5.56 brass ?

I did use the small black reaming tool for small primers, not one of the de-burring or chamfer bits.

Pocket reamer for 5.56 brass ?

Would have thought that the reamers would have been designed to bottom at the correct depth and bevel?? Guess not. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Pocket reamer for 5.56 brass ?

This is the tool I used. Chucked up the reamer bit. I've done more since but was much more carful not to go that deep. I only did a half dozen or so that deeply. Amazon.com: Lyman Case Prep Multi Tool: Sports & Outdoors

Pocket reamer for 5.56 brass ?

I used my Lyman pocket reamer by hand and did not remove much material, also had issues with a half a dozen primers not fitting in the pocket. Yesterday I stuck the reamer in a drill and was shocked at how much material it removed, is a reamer designed to run all the way in and the resulting...

    Wolf Steel Case Ammo

There is actually a "review"(Torture test) somewhere where they did a 10,000 round test with three steel cased rounds with Bi-metal bullets and an fmj from Federal I believe. The FMJ still shot reasonably well where the other barrels were al shot out. The wolf and Brown Bear had noticeable drop...

    Wolf Steel Case Ammo

I don't care about the steel case but I do worry about shooting it if it has the bi-metal bullets. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but some of those bullets have a thin steel jacket with a copper wash over it.

So, my daughter who is married to an anti gun...

I remember the article about the 22 round in a doorway in England and everyone (even the expert) worrying that it could hurt someone... I was thinking well...if you ate it...could you get lead poisoning? I might pull the bullet weigh it and reuse the case, primer and bullet. I don't like to...

    Uberti El Patron???

I originally wanted the New Vaqiero but they quit making the version with the color case hardened frame. The used ones I found either had blemishes in the finish or they weren't 45Colt. Then I wind up with a stainless engraved one. I just hope it is better when the springs come in and...

    Uberti El Patron???

So I just had to have a SAA and couldn't afford the Colt so...I got the Uberti El Patron. Finish was spectacular color case hardened) and the action was smooth as butter but... POI was four inches right and two inches low. I thought "Im not used to revolvers, let alone ones with sights from...

    M&P 45 45acp Opinions

I've had mine for several years now and several thousand rounds with absolutely no issues bar a catastrophic failure of the magazine spring which was replaced before I even made it to the range (I was checking it out and loading both magazines just to see how hard or easy they were to load). It...

    Smiths Returned to Factory

I have four S&Ws, though the knife may not count... None have gone back but Two have or had an issue. One had a magazine spring fail the first time I loaded it, bent over on itself, the other has two less than half inch hair width scratches that go partially around the barrel. S&W replaced...

Worst Gun injury you've had, short of Shot

Was shooting a friends .40 when a piece of hot brass looped over the slide and landed inside my glasses getting wedged between the bottom of the glasses and the top of my cheek, burned the heck out of my cheek. Had the mark for a week or more.
