DROSing a 1957 Pre-29 and saw that the grips are nicely polished and shined. Is this generally done by tung oil and (Renaissance) waxing....or just waxing? I want to get this shine on another revolver's grips, but don't want to wax first if I should oil first.....

Just an FYI, this is how Cali differs....:eek: Last year, I sold my 1955 blue pre-27, 3.5", magnas, no box, probably 92-95% condition....for $2100.

Nice guns, of course, but as most acknowledge that thoughts exist of the "working man's gun", the "plain Jane", the "econo version", the "industrial" look...I just don't see how they can ever go to the heights of the 27 investment-wise. I like my 27s as shiny as they can be, so can't really get...
