This is normal. If you want to lock the slide back without a magazine inserted, you will need to hold up on the slide lock while retracting the slide.

Is it brand new unfired brass or wet tumbled? Those both can be more difficult to size and bell.

I use One Shot on all of my 45acp and 9mm cases before sizing with carbide dies, makes them run through the 550 much smother. I won't tell you to just leave it on after, but I do and have for many years without a problem. Kurt

Every one is saying it’s overpriced and I’m not disagreeing but I’m also not seeing any locally on Gunbroker or Armlist that are significantly less. Is there a website I’m not aware of that I could check out or are you just seeing them in your area?

I agree that it is probably over priced but I’ve been keeping an eye out locally for a model 14 for a few years and have come across only one and it was priced higher. I may go back and look at it again, I’m not a collector I want it for bullseye shooting.

I could have miss read the - number, my eyes are getting old. I’m sure it had a pinned barrel though and thought the -5 didn’t have that.

I ran across a M15-3 this afternoon in a local shop that had a 6 inch barrel. I've heard of M15-5's with 6 inch barrels but can't find any information on a M15-3 with one. Is it possible it came out of S&W that way or was it rebarreled? It's in very good condition, they are asking $719 Any...
