    Bonnieville tractor?

That is an orchard model Farmall. The extra sheet metal is to prevent damage to the limbs of the fruit trees. They are also used in vineyards. Not really rare, but they are not that common.

If the AWB falls flat and comes to nought...

I think it will be a while before the" cheap" black guns show up, but there will be a lot of people trying to get their money back out of the panic buying.

    H.R. 226

I don't think I'm interested in selling MY guns to the government to be paid with MY money.

The end of "TACTICAL" as we know it.

I am afraid a lot of what we are facing now, is somewhat self-inflicted. If you look at the advertising for most of the products we, as gun consumers buy,it is all about faster reloading time, higher capacities, more stopping power, conceal-ability, "it's what our troops use" etc.,etc. Those who...

    Been pondering on pending background

I think there should be mandatory background checks to run for political office. You are aware there are none required for most offices including the office of President of The United States of America.

    Star Firestar

As others have said the weight is an issue, another is parts availability. Firestars are known for firing pin breakage. I made pins for mine out of cold rolled steel, it will peen a little but I have not had one break like the brittle factory pins. Sarco in NJ bought all of the remaining parts...

    M1 Thumb Ha Ha Ha

Quote from the CMP manual:" While M1 thumb has never been known to have caused a fatality, it has been known to have caused a deplorable expansion of vocabulary amongst recruits of many different nationalities"

What other hobbies do you have?

Antique tractors, and big time tractor pulling, I help my friends with their machine,(which by the way is the current NTPA national champion Super Farm tractor). I spend WAY more time at pulls and the shop than I do at the range or gunshows anymore.

    Spare barrel for M&P40

I have a M&P40 that I am very happy with, but lately I have been thinking I would like the option of .357Sig. Who is producing and selling barrels for the M&P. I believe the only thing needed for the conversion is a barrel, but I may be wrong. Any help will be appreciated.

    What's your defensive revolver?

Either my 66-1 2.5" or my 37-2, depending on how I plan on dressing. Usually carry the 37 in an ankle holster.

Dealing with the Wife after a gun show

I used to play " hide and sneak" with new purchases and trades until I stopped at a yard sale that a nice little old lady was having. She was just getting rid of all of her late husband's "old timey" guns and stuff, yes, I helped her out by taking some of them off her hands. After I left I...

    Trespassers!-pictures added

When I was growing up, our neighbor on the farm next to ours had a chert pit on his property behind his house. It got to be a popular "hangout" for all kinds of folks, mostly folks who liked to dump trash and drop dogs and cats. Our neighbor developed a rather unique hobby of randomly firing a...
