I agree chief38, the new Ruger-Marlin rifles look great with a nice smooth action. I've tried to get a "JM" .357 for several years now from sellers at gun shows but their asking prices are OUTRAGEOUS! No way will I pay $1500-$1800 when you can buy a new Ruger-Marlin for less than that. Funny...
Yep, they pop up sometimes when you LEAST expect it, nice find, glad you jumped on it! My 15-4 snubbie in a nice leather SafariLand holster popped up a week after I found my first other 15; a 4" 15-3, at the same LGS. They are really fun to shoot! Congrats.
Thank you all for the great analysis and advice. I went back to the LGS store today to give it another look and compare it to the S&Ws I really like in my collection. I decided to let it go and concentrate more on any S&W revolvers that might come along. The fact that I don't have any other...
I'd get the 2nd one also. I had two 15's show up a day apart at my LGS. The first one was a beautiful 4" and the next one was a 2.5? snubby; just as clean as the first one, with a nice leather holster...yep, couldn't let that snubby get away. Since then, I've seen several other 4" 15's but not...
My LGS has a very clean 1922 Colt Army Special that came in. It's almost 95% with deep blueing and great lockup. It has the double spear Rampant Colt Logo(don't know is that's significant?) for a total of $745. I looked up some GB prices and they are all over the place; some comparable ones are...
Thanks Pilgrim, now I've got 2 4". I've never seen a 2" or even a 3" for sale at LGS or gun shows. Those must be really tough too find. Which to you like shooting better; the 4" or the 2"?
