I might add The Colt I was referring to had very many rounds shot through it; countless. The previous owner was a gun nut and reloaded his own ammo. I think the high power and use was the culprit.

My First Handgun 39-2, most beautiful with wood grips and felt great. I was told never to use +P ammo with this pistol. Always worked, had to sell. Did not want to. The sites were OK, but not like todays guns.
