I use the Larue QD Pivot (flip to side) mount for my mag and it works pretty good. I'm not sure if you want to go this route though because the mount is probably more then your mag! LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount LT649-30 (Mount Only)

Is it OK on the 45 midsize to close the slide on a round already in the pipe? The extractor claw seems very flat and i don't want to bend it back into the breach face and damage it. Thanks in advance. Mike

Thanks guys for your suggestions. Being a broke college student I don't really have the money for a custom pouch like Comp-Tac, although I'm sure i would love it. I am ordering a fobus pouch and will try the velcro idea if i need to tighten them up.

I like the way it is designed. It prevents people from accidentally resting their thumbs on the slide stop and preventing the slide from holding open on an empty chamber. Racking the slide isn't a big issue, at least for me because in order to reach the slide stop i need to break my grip...
