Did you use the S&W plastic plate or an aftermarket plate on the 10s?
I used the S&W plastic plate on my 10MM with a 507K. I have less than 100 rounds through it and everything is still tight but I am not impressed with the quality.

Wow! My experience is similar. I started in 1963. I had a Pacific C Press and then a Rock Chucker. I also had a Star progressive which I sold to buy a 550B. Now I have 3 Square Deal B's, the Rock Chucker, and the 550 B. All get used frequently.
The S&W 10MM is about the size of a 19. I just bought one. I only have a few rounds through it. So far no problems but it will take a lot more rounds to wring it out.

We bought 12 six inch 586s when they first came out. Mine came with a red ramp and the sight was part of the barrel.....no pins.

I think we might need a test of pistol primers in long gun ammo. I can see two possible issues. Are they hot enough for reliable ignition and is the primer cap thick enough to prevent puncture.
There is a difference but it depends on the manufacturer. I think primers made in the US are less likely to be a problem.
