I have been looking high and low for an ambidextrous safety for a 5906 slide I was rehabbing, but I am finding zero for parts on the secondary markets (Numrich, Midway USA, gunboards, Ebay, etc). I can’t even locate any for a 915 model either.
Did all the extras dry totally up?
I'm also in the "TAR" serial range myself on my 645 (TAR33**).
Mine has the total wraparound Pachmayer grip on it currently but I'm chasing a set of nylon OEM S&W grip panels.
As title says I am looking to buy a set of 645 grip panels, preferably the black nylon or the factory walnut panels. I am not interested in aftermarket grips rubber or hardwood.
Drop me a message.
Thanks,

I say start by making 1000 series backwards compatible magazines by the truckload so the guys selling them for $150 to $250 lose their *** on all the hoarded mags.
I’m still waiting to find the flipped over Cartel cash truck where I find cases of 10mm 3rd Gen mags stashed under boxes of money.
“ Wait what? They left the cash but took five cases of Smith Wesson 1000 series magazines???? Get on the Gringo gun forums and start watching the users posts!!! “ :D
He had it less than a month, and I had offered to loan him my spare 645 (stainless steel baseplate) mags, but now I have the pistol to go with my two 645 mags. :p
I just need to replace the Pachmayer grips with a set of factory S&W ones. I don’t like the looks or the feel of Hogue or Pachmayer...
So in another thread on 1076’s I had posted:
Fast forward to today. My buddy was strapped for cash and I acquired the Model 645 from him. Life is good :D
A buddy of mine stumbled on to a estate sale where both a 2nd Gen 645 and a 1076 were being sold for under $500 each. He was wagging the 645 under my nose and failed to see the 1076 (s/n TFP24**), so I snatched it before he knew what had happened. He is always cash poor so I know in six months...
Yeah I have a bunch of magazine parts (for two additional mags) I just didn't have the foresight to buy extra magazine bodies before GPC sold them all. It's just one of those things when you collect.:D
I unfortunately am back in the "looking for mags" crowd. I cobbled together two spares for my 1006 before the GPC magazine bodies sold out, but have since acquired a S&W model 1076 that only had a single mag. The hunt always continues.
