My first S&W was this 686, bought new around 1987 or '88, I believe. It's stock except for a great tuning job and the Pachymar Professional grips. My neighbor then was a gunsmith who specialized in tuning S&W revolvers. Most people say it's best trigger they've ever felt. I don't know...
