That's a Smith & Wesson. And you've had your six.

That could have been why they changed to a semi auto. It looks cool on a semi auto, but stupid on a revolver. BTW, Dr. No was made in 1962, so that's pretty much impossible to be any S&W semi. Probably some European gun because back then for the most part the bad guys used semi autos and the...

The dialog was probably written for a revolver, but since most film producers and directors don't know anything about guns, they just went with it.

It's kind of amazing that they still have them in stock. Maybe they still get them produced on an "as needed" basis. Or maybe they have a huge warehouse full of grips! ;)

My Enforcer likes 115 as does my Mossberg MC1sc.

    Mayhem in Manhattan

The "48 hour" rule is in full effect. Since I don't watch other news channels, I'll only say that Fox News kills the time until there is actually something to report with endless speculation by people who have no knowledge of what actually went on. Probably why Gutfeld was cancelled last night.

3953 and later 3953TSW guns are relatively easy to find. It's the pre rail versions that are elusive. Other than mine, I've seen on other for sale. That one was a shooter grade.

I've given some thought to switching to my 3953TSW for daily carry. I should have kept my ANIB pre rail 3953TSW and used that, but it was so nice I just sold it as part of my pre move herd thinning.

I concur. I've never had a problem with 147gr anything in any of my 3rd Gens. In fact, the compacts shoot that fine and don't like the 115gr (in terms of accuracy). In 2021 I used my 6946 for the NC/SC qualification course and passed with a high score using 147gr. That was only the second time I...

I have the opposite problem. My new Enforcer seems to have 1911 style safety controls and I'm used to the 3rd Gen style. I think that the Enforcer will thus end up either a range only gun or maybe a home gun.

    New kids on the block

I think the light Blue springs are from Springco. Remember that they made them when they were not available from the factory for a period of time. I have a couple of sets in my guns and they seem to work quite well.

The slide stop on my 457s is also a bear to remove. I don't know why it's different from my 457, but there it is. I keep forgetting that they made a 908S. A good cleaning should fix the crunchy safety. The whole gun probably needs some TLC in the way of cleaning. Those are three nice pick ups.

    R.I.P. Bob Newhart

A lot of what we laughed at with Newhart was his reaction (and repeating) parts of conversations he had on the phone. It was a brilliant way to produce comedy and induce laughter. He was the voice of sanity in an insane world.

Current value of 4006 tsw chp

3rd Gen prices seem to have gone up a bit over the past couple of years. Maybe people are starting to appreciate how good they are along with some of the olders reaching end of life for whatever reason. I saw a 3913 that was likely a police trade in at a police supply place the other day. What...

    Last Time Shooting S&W Auto

Monday. I took my Equalizer to the range to test fire it to make sure I put it back together properly. I brought my 3953TSW, but spent too much time sighting in my AR so wasn't able to shoot it. Before that was June when I took one of my 457s to the range because I like shooting my 457s. :)

    Model 6591 inquiry serial RSR31XX

RSR was a "major distributor" according to the SCSW 5th addition. As snw19_357 notes there isn't a lot of information about them. Most were 9mm, a couple of models were .45. I have a friend who owns one, but it's a shooter without box or accessories. I think that only ANIB guns would have...
