The gun that I carry the most is my S&W Model 986 9mm revolver. It is loaded with Federal Hydra-Shoks, but I carry two or three moonclips of FMJ in my pockets should they be needed.
One of my 610s is a 5"--the other is a 4". I love them both and I'm certain that you will love yours.
Get a good moonclip loading tool, because loading the clips by hand is a very tedious, tiring process.
My suggestion is to test whatever brand thhat you try by firing around 200 rounds through your revolver. I have learned through hard experience that some guns don't like harder primers and will often have light primer strikes.

I carry a 4" K- and L-frame IWB very often. In fact, I'll go further and say that a 5" Model 986 (L-frame) is very comfortable to carry IWB. I carry at the 3 o'clock position and the IWB holster I carry in is designed for the N-frame.
It works for me.
